DİJİTAL BİR OKULUN DİJİTAL VATANDAŞLARI (Dİ̇JİTAL OKULUN DİJİTAL VATANDAŞLARİ)

Children are born and grow up in a world where the impact of technology on our lives is undeniable and increasing. Research shows that the use of technology starts from early childhood. It is seen that the use of technology has an important place in children's social lives, communication, play and learning. Today, it is thought that using technology consciously and utilizing its opportunities properly will support children's academic success and life skills and contribute to the school's education policy. In this direction, the concept of raising digital citizens from the preschool period comes to the fore. Raising digital citizens is a process that should start in early childhood. Digital Citizenship Education means empowering children through education, equipping them with the digital skills they need to participate in a rapidly technologically evolving world, and developing the skills they need to participate in this rapidly evolving world. Supporting children to participate safely, effectively, critically and responsibly in a world full of social media and digital technologies is a priority for educators around the world. Accordingly, our project is based on the 10 domains of Digital Citizenship (Access and inclusion, learning and creativity, media and information literacy, ethics and empathy, health and well-being, e-presence and communication, active participation, rights and responsibilities, privacy and safety, consumer awareness).
